The City
We’ll pick you up at the airport (SJD or LAP) and take you to La Paz where we will spend our first two nights at the Mantarraya Outpost boutique hotel.

Sigh. First, I want to make clear that I have only ever had to answer this question for those who live in the United States. Frankly, this is the population that seems to have been most exposed to xenophobic, anti-Mexico rhetoric.
There are parts of Mexico that are unsafe, just as there are parts of the United States that are unsafe. The state of Baja California Sur is not one of them. I live here, in part, because it feels safer to me than the United States.
As a woman, I feel comfortable walking through La Paz alone and would have no problem sleeping under the stars on Espiritu Santo. If that's not enough to put you at ease, feel free to contact me with further questions.

Daily practices on this retreat include morning meditation, a vinyasa yoga class, and an evening restorative yoga or yoga nidra session. Our focus for this year’s retreat will be the heart-opening compassion practice of tonglen. Tonglen is Tibetan for “giving and taking.” Learn more about it on this retreat!

With the costs of beach-front all-inclusive resorts rising, we’ve been unable to find a surf-adjacent experience that we can offer to you for less than $4,000 USD per person.
This price point is no longer in alignment with our values and priorities, so we are focusing on a new experience for 2025.
On-the-water activities on this retreat will include SUP, kayak, snorkeling, and swimming with sea lions. Snorkel gear and wetsuits provided.
